Has anyone else noticed how your recipe, no matter how much effort and research goes into it, gets altered last minute while you’re picking up your ingredients at the store? It happens to me every damn time. :lol:
used to happen to me a lot. mainly because they were out of one ingredient, so i had to substitute another
Not until just recently. I had never had a LHBS until I moved here a few months ago, so I ordered everything online. But yes, my recipes do change now because they never have what I need. Plus I spend way too much money every time I go there. I have gone back to ordering everything from our host unless it is last minute.
Mine is a bit of a drive, so I call about a week ahead and give them my grocery list. If they don’t have it in stock they will order it. They have my order ready when I get there and all I have to do is finish up a few quick shopping items before checking out.
