AK47 Pale Xtra mild?

To tell if the yeast have competed their mission, you need to take gravity readings over the course of a couple of days. 1 reading at the time of bottling does not tell you anything other than what the gravity at that time is.

Take a reading tonight, Wednesday and then Friday. Or Wednesday and Friday.

truly all we are after is 2 readings 24+hrs apart that are equal. looking for as low as possible to facilitate closer to projected ABV%…Thanks

The 1st of 2 readings was 1.012 corrected, the airlock has completely stopped as of this morning, after the 1st reading yesterday it was still bubbling @ a rate of once each 90~120 seconds. In about an hour we will take a 2nd reading to see if they are equal. The comments about the corn sugar adding a cidery taste to the beer are totally true, would adding it in @ a different time make a difference??

Reading 2 nets about the same as yesterday 1.013 it looks like today with correction, bottling on Friday afternoon!

Todays reading is 1.012 and this sample did NOT taste ‘cidery’! Bottling tomorrow, re-washed & rinsed 54 bottles for sanitizing just prior to filling. This will begin a small hiatus in our brew schedule as housing/brewery plans have our full attention.

Next report in 2 weeks of bottle conditioning.

we will chill a few bottles that we let sit on top of the fridge for 24 hrs before going in to set the carbonation into motion if for some reason it stalled, we did this with each of the 42 bottles of our 1st beer with awesome results!
