Adding water to fermentor

Hi All,

Being a rookie at this and all, I was wondering if it’s safe to add water to the fermenter (say about 12 ounces) on a 1 gallon small batch a day after fermentation has started or at anytime for that matter. I seemed to have boiled off more wort than expected. :cry:

I personally would leave it and correct it on the next batch. It shouldn’t be a problem to boil, cool and add water just be clean in your process.
