Brewing the Bourbon Barrel Porter…Added the Liquid Malt Extract at the beginning rather than 15 min before end. What’s the impact!?! Am I hosed???

Virtually no difference. Adding at the end makes things a bit better, but you didn’t make a major mistake. Until the late extract addition showed up a few years ago, everyone had always added the extract at the beginning…and still made great beer!
Super. Glad to hear it. Thanks Denny, much appreciated. Did two extract batches at once with a buddy this evening - first time doing 2 at once. I am still so new to all of this, but wow…what a fun endeavor!
