6 tap keg cooler conversion

I’m new to brewing and have been wanting to jump quickly into kegging my brew. At first I wanted to just get a minifridge and have a picnic tap setup. However, a store nearby me is closing down and needing to get rid of their 6 tap keg cooler for very cheap (~$500). The cooler system is set up for the standard keg coupler and I was wondering how easy and cheap it would be to convert the standard commercial keg coupler to a ball lock coupler in order to work with my homebrew. I’m also interested in how much more my electricity bill may go up with a huge 6 foot cooler vs a minifridge if anyone has any experience.

Not hard at all to convert a commercial sanke system to ball (or pin) lock kegs. At 5 bills you ought to try to get taps, tubing and a CO2 tank or 3 along with the fridge, as you could probably buy a new chest freezer that holds 4 kegs and controller for less than that.
