2 Packs of Wyest vs. Starter

I just brewed the Winter Warmer extract kit that called for a starter. The guy at NB told me if I just used two packs of the Wyeast it’ll do the same thing as using a starter.

True? Disadvantages?

Everything seemed to go fine with the fermentation, but it’s still in the secondary so I have no idea how it’ll end up.

True, depending on starter size. Disadvantage, yeast is expensive. Grow your own.

+1, but if time is an issue, go ahead and pitch 2 packs.
