Liquid yeast question

On the 11th ups delivered my package but to the wrong house. It wasn’t until the 13th in the morning someone dropped my package off with my omega yeast in it…The pack of yeast was cool the touch. I put it in the fridge right away. DO you think it is still good? any way to make sure besides yeast starter?

Remaining viability depends upon the daily high temperature and the package date of the yeast. Yeast will die at 120°F. Less than that but still warm could increase viability loss up to 20%. What was the approximate high temperatures from delivery to when you finally received the package?

I’m pretty sure you are fine as long as didn’t freeze or get into high temps. That the main concerns. My wife cleaned the out the refrigerator one time and left a wyeast pack for a month and it was fine. My starter took right off.
