I was in ace hardware and I notice the jack Daniel would chips in the BBQ section. Said chips from the bourbon barrels use for jack. Anyone use these?
I have not but it sounds like great idea. $12 on Amazon for a decent (I guess) size bag. How would you sanitize them? Soak in vodka or StarSan maybe? Seems like boiling might take away some of the flavor.

Of course wouldn’t want to cause a bad reaction. Ace had what looked like a 2lb bag for 9$
