Agreed and kind of what I was trying to say. Do you have knowledge of the safety factor on kegs? Just curious because 300 PSI seems a bit high.

Sorry but I don’t know the specific safety factors. It may vary by keg type and manufacturer. I just looked at 5 of my pin lock corny kegs. All are stamped with 130 psi max working pressure but none of them indicate relief valve setting, nor design pressure. A quick on-line search did not provide any clear answers for design pressure. I don’t think I’ll ever have a reason to go over 30 psi.

Definitely good to talk about safety considerations with equipment and techniques on this forum. I was noodling around and found a discussion of using kegs for air tanks. Someone raised the point that the tubing would fail before the keg. Probably seals and fittings would fail as well. Don’t plan on doing the research myself… :sunglasses:
