October fest

Saaz should work fine. I use it with two row in my wheat beers, and it’s good. It has a more “rounded”, smoother bitterness and flavor/aroma that I tend to prefer in session and “lawnmower” style beers. I also use it in my Bohemian and German style pilsners in larger amounts than I do in my wheat beers, and though those exhibit noticeably more bitterness and hop aromas, they still lack the “edge” that many American hops exhibit.

Update, both came out great thanks RC

Glad to hear it, brew on.

I’ll be using that formula again this weekend for a scotch ale/ porter double batch. This one will require steeping grains in one pot after the mash. I plan on steeping for 20 minuets right after the drain since I believe the temperature of the wort will be right.

Considering that’s 3/4 time, it’d be more like 15 minutes right?
