Back to the OP, what is the similar flavor? Is it the hop flavors muddling together? I think I have to get new buckets because I normally brew with american hops, but I made a steam beer with just northern brewer hops. The beer is OK, but I get some citrus aroma’s which have to be from somewhere other than the beer itself. I think its my old buckets leaching some hop stuff out.
