Super happy with the Zugenruhe.
The Köln yeast had zero shortcomings on first pitch. I’ve heard that it gets even better in subsequent pitches. The stange(stick) glasses add a little extra to the experience. Lallemand Köln dry yeast: Recommended.

mmmm, I’d love a schooner of that… I’m so happy with dry yeast now… Wet yeast is getting very small in the rear view mirror for me.
Save some of yer yeast cake for another brew? Like an Imperial Kolsch? (:

It definitely has a long lasting head. The touch of wheat in the recipe seems to be helpful for that. However, not so much wheat that it didn’t clear.

I’m not so sure the wheat makes a cloudy/hazy brew… but the head retention…
