Yes that has been designed already. Look up Utah biodiesel… I already use a basket about the size of 5 gallon bucket and really like this set up. Sometimes I git the spent grist dumped out of the basket before the boil and I put it back into the kettle so when I add hops, well, their…. free range!!

I made a bazooka type tube out of CPVC tubing (heat resistant) some stainless steel screen from Ebay and some SS worm gear clamps. Instead of just a straight piece I made an “H” shaped one for more area. Just slip fit the tubing so it can be disassembled for cleaning. Wrapped the screen around the tubing and clamped it down. Worked pretty good in a rectangular cooler.

Think can do two ways of full brewing if i want. Biab and. Mashing. Gonna try both ways. See what i like.

You’ll do a BIAB and realize, it can be simpler! With that, I like a basket better, just me. Sneezles61
