Well, double pouring partly because of aeration, and partly because my strainer doesn’t fit on my BMB that well. Worth noting, you still get funky clouds of hoppy break material in the fermentor, but it helps get most of the hop solids.
Don’t sell your self short of a pump… Yes some ports are good… Be sure you know what you want to do with your kettle… Sneezles61
I gravity out the bottom of the kettle for now, but run it through a counterflow chiller. I use the dip tube with my kettle, seems to suck it pretty dry. I stand there and wave the end of the hose around in the top of the fermenter to make sure i get enough air in it, seems to work fine.
