I was taught ABV= SG-FG x 131.

So 1.041-1.004= .037
.037x131= 4.847 (4.85)

Been very accurate for me.

I use the hydrometer… Just find the subtracted number and roll that sucker over and reveal your prize! Sneezles61

I just Google ABV calculator and put in the numbers or skip it and drink it anyway.
