Yeast starter too early?

Can you make a yeast starter too early? Mine will be almost 4 days before I use it.

A couple weeks wouldn’t be to early. Keep the starter in the frig after it is completed. The cover can be as simple as sanitized foil and a rubber band to allow CO2 to escape. After a few days in the frig, the wort will be easy to decant.
