Yeast starter sulfur smell

Hello all. Just made my first 1L yeast starter using 1098 British ale yeast and Fastpitch. Starter has a noticeable sulfur smell. Is this normal or should I go ahead and use a package of dry yeast I have laying around?
Thanks

Sulfur aroma is normal with some yeasts. You will also notice the sulfur smell during fermentation. Not removing the beer from the yeast cake in the primary as quickly as possible will allow the sulfur aroma time to dissipate.

Thanks for the info. I’ll give it a try.
