Yeast overflow - help

Hello all. Just trying to pick your experienced brains here. I made a mead Sunday. Straight simple mead which I have made off and on throughout the years. I used Wyeast for my yeast. I noticed last night that the entire air lock was full of foam and it had pushed it’s way out all over the air lock and rubber stopper and top of the carboy neck. It was definitely “burping” along as well. If it means anything I filled the air lock with Star San instead of water. Any ideas why this is happening? I have not done a single thing to it since Sunday. It is just sitting there. By the way there is definitely foam at the top of the mead now. The carboy was filled to within about 3 - 4 inches or so from the top. I have seen foam in the past but never like this. Any thoughts?

It’s fine. You can put on a blowoff tube if you want. That’s just how things go sometimes.
