Yeast lag time and underpitching question

What is considered a long lag time? 48-72 hours? I was worried that i underpitched a batch and it took off in 24 hours is that a sign that i pitched enough yeast?

72 hours is long. 24 hours is oretty normal. Pitching rate doesn’t have a lot to do with lag time. Yast health does. Underpitching leads more to poor fermentation than long lag.

Oh ok…what are signs of a poor fermentation?

Gotcha

Or overall poor beer quality.
