Ok i know certain yeast stains do give flav to the beer. Ĺike forbidden fruit from w yeast. But my question. During creating a yeast starter. Can i add flav to the flask.
Not that I am aware of… the yeast starter is to create an army of healthy yeast primed to ensure a fast and complete fermentation of the actual full volume of wort. Adding flavorings, such as fruit, oak etc would be later.
Certain yeasts, as you stated add their own unique flavors during the fermentation process.
Flavor derived from yeast is due to the by-products of their fermentation not because the yeast manufacturer add flavorings. I’d save the adjuncts for post fermentation.
