I stumbled upon this YouTube video that shows a single 10 gallon batch divided into two fermenters. He used WLP007 and 051 and it’s pretty amazing how different the color is from one yeast to the other.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7Y4CQTKsqMThis prompted me to pull up a recipe for Sculpin and as I swapped the yeasts back an forth in BeerSmith, the ABV changed with the yeast selection, the SRM did not. I’ve never considered the yeast’s impact on color before, but there it is!
