Wyeat Lambic blend question

Im curious about this yeast and if anyone had the same thing happen…I brewed up a batch 7 lbs 2 row 3 lbs flaked wheat and pitched wy lambic blend…I got a massive blow off and probably lost half of the yeast in the process…anyway i was replacing the sanitizer in the blow off bottle and the yeast was like lard or shortening or better yet bacon grease after it cools and solidifies…Is this normal? its pretty damn trippy

Not likely that you lost half of the yeast.

Your description of the Krausen sounds normal.

No i was not talking about krausen on top of the beer…i was talking about what made it into my blow off jug was like bacon grease…it almost clogged my sink when i dumped it out to replace sanitizer
