Wondered if anyone has a good doppelbock recipe some what like Weihenstephaner korbinian doppelbock.
I made a nice doppelbock recently, used a German light Munich (Avangard) and something like 3% chocolate malt, 5% caramunich II and 5% melanoidin. Thats a crazy high amount of melanoidin but it tastes pretty rich and not harsh.
Thanks for the reply Lennie. Im thinking using light munich and some pilsner and maybe some extra dark crystal for the dark fruit flavors that weihenstephaner has in their doppelbock. I do like the list of stuff you used in yours might just brew like you have listed
