My name is James but have been called Noodle since I was in 7th Grade. Anyway I really like this forum and becoming addicted to the home brew game. I wanted to see who the fellow home brewers are. What type people share home brewing as a hobby. I’m not intending this to be a biography just a quick reply if you want to.

I’m Nick. I picked up brewing around 6 or 7 years ago because I love beer and there’s something inside me that needs to know the intimate details of anything I love, I’ve built 3 gaming computers for the same reason. Being driven to extremes I quickly moved from extract, to AG, to Belgians, and finally to sours. About 3 years back I bought a condo and suddenly being an adult caught up with me and I stopped having time for brewing. My girlfriend has recently been kicking me for not making great beer for us to drink, so I have finally started brewing again but with a different mindset, great beers for every day. My first beer back is 15 gallons of bitter split between 3 different yeasts, it’s a week old. I’m currently sipping on a Flanders Red that was brewed a few months before I stopped brewing before.
What type work do you do?
Software development, System Administration, DBA
What other hobbies are you in to?
Cooking, videogames
Been a-brewin’ since May 2012 (coming up on batch 16 soon). It’s the most passionate I’ve ever been about anything in my life. That being said I’m a slower learner than most and am taking my time getting into all-grain focusing on the other sides of brewing before I get into the headaches and financial commitments of AG.
I’m 28. Server/cook at a cool little pub right now, but I’ve been many things. I just recently moved to Portland after giving up (hopefully just temporarily) on 5 years of college where I burned out hard and barely survived it.
Been enjoying the bejeezus outta ya’lls company.
Also into gaming, cooking, taking care of my chinchilla, amateur birdwatching (currently listening to our first springtime robin song), poetry, and contemporary English literature (guess my college major!).
