Which Yeast for Oktoberfest?

I’m putting together our first Oktoberfest recipe. Looking at yeast options…

–Saflager W-34/70
–Wyeast 2206
–Wyeast 2124

Any favorites amongst you fine folk?

I’m a semi newbie, but of the three, I would probably prefer the 2206.

Any of the following could also be used:
Wyeast 2308 (Munich Lager),
White Labs WLP838 (Southern German Lager), or
White Labs WLP920 (Old Bavarian Lager) yeast

I’ve also personally used the White Labs WLP830 (German Lager).

For my last Oktoberfest,done in Nov.2012, I used the Wyeast 2308. I’m very pleased with the outcome.

I like 2206 the best. I haven’t tried all the different lager yeasts quite yet, but I can attest that the 2206 makes an award-winner with flawless German character.

I don’t have a lot of experience with lagers, but the Wyeast Octoberfest blend (WY2633) makes a killer Ofest.
