What to buy with gift card

Hey everyone,

I received an early Christmas present in the form of a gift card from NB and had a few questions in regards as to what I should buy. I recently pieced together all of the equipment necessary to do all grain and it works great. The only thing I don’t have is an easier way to aerate the wort. I was looking at NBs aeration device with pump and ss inlet. Has anyone ever used one of these? What do you all recommend for wort aerating other than the obvious cover and shake method? Any thing else besides ingredients that I should go for? Burner, pots, mash tun, kegs, etc. are all accounted for.

My brother just got an “aeration wand” thing - basically a diffusion stone on the end of a long metal tube. After watching him use it, I’ve got to say I want one. Less hose flopping around and not wanting to go to the bottom of the carboy to hassle with, and he’s able to fit the wand through a drilled stopper so he can keep the carboy closed while he’s aerating. Not sure if he got it from NB or where, though.

If aeration is an issue I would go with a mix stir. Easy to clean and maintain, just takes a couple minutes to aerate really well, and you dont have to continue buying oxygen cans.
