Hello I just took a sample of my beer to see where it is at the FG 1.011 an the OG 1.054. But the attenuation I read for WLP051 is 70% to 75%. From my calculation that I got from brewer friend said I got attenuation of 78% to 79% how can this be. I know I did a 1600ml yeast starter did like 30sec’s of pure 02 an ferment it at 66f to 67f.
I get more attenuation than yeast specs say quite frequently…it happens
I believe the yeast companies post the average attenuation which means some people get higher and some lower. I always get higher than posted also
