The description of NB’s AK 47 Mild Ale kit says it pays homage to a (relatively) famous pale Mild. Anyone know which one?
Poking around with Google, I found references to McMullan and Rayment, two English brewers that made beers called AK which were billed as pale milds. There seemed to be some question about McMullan, at least according to the Shut Up About Barclay Perkins blog, actually being a bitter being billed as a mild.
Wonder if it’s one of these…
