What a contrast

I typically brew two beers on a brewday, but I don’t think before yesterday I made two that were so different. Started with a pale lager - a Foster’s clone - with all Pils malt, an ounce of Pride of Ringwood hops and 20 oz of sugar added to lighten the body. Then I brewed a Baltic Porter - OG 1.084, 17.5 lbs of malt and nothing light about it. The only thing they both have in common is 2206 yeast.

Just struck me as curious.

 Cool.

I brewed both Saturday and Sunday.
Maibock on Saturday with 1.5 ounces of hops,
IPA on Sunday…10 ounces of hops.

You did hit the two ends of the lager spectrum.

I brewed two identical batches myself, so I was at the other end of the spectrum. Black IPA, brewed twice so I could have close to 12gal in my new fermentor.
