Wet hop dry hops

Has anyone out there used wet hops in other spots than flavor and aroma? FWH? Dry hop? Bittering?

You can use them wherever you like, think the conversion is 6:1 (since they contain so much water compared to dried).

Yep, you can use them as you wish, just put in enough.
I think they work best in the boil, using wet hops for dry hopping isn’t as good, IMHO. Probably due to them not absorbing as much wort or something. Probably in my head… :expressionless:

I’ve heard that using wet hops for dry hopping can give you a lot of grassiness, so that’s why most people stay away from it. Give it a try and see what you think, but I’d lean towards FWH or late/whirlpool additions if you want to get the most flavor/aroma from them instead of going the dry hop route.

I’m thinking FWH would be a good idea.

I would advise against dryhopping with wet hops given the amount of bugs hiding inside.
