Water Adjustments

I did a BIAB yesterday and had my Brunwater recommendations all ready. I added the lactic acid to my sparge water prior to heating it, made the correct adjustments to the mash but then forgot to add the gypsum and calcium chloride to the sparge water that was recommended. I read that this could be done in the boil or even in the fermenter later. I just remembered it this afternoon and of course fermentation is pretty active now. Should I still make the adjustments or just relax and let the beer be made?

Your choice. Those additions would be for flavor impacts only, so its not a big deal either way. You can always wait until kegging time and test the beer. If it doesn’t have the umph you want, then add the minerals to the keg.

Thanks Martin! Now that I’ve gotten more familiar with Brunwater I’m able to appreciate what a great tool it is.
