i a big fan of ciders and would like to try to make my own but like every one on here when they got started i have no clue where to start or what i need to buy to get started any help would be great thanks
Google?
Do you have apples?
Sorry. Had to ask!
I believe some make a nice cider using frozen concentrate. Make sure there are no preservatives that would stop the yeast form doing there things.
Same with fresh pressed from an orchard. No preservatives.
Then read this board and as Garret said, look around the net.
Minimum. 6-7g pail to ferment in. Air locks. Racking cane. Tubing. Bottles (recycle!). Capper.
You can really make it as simple or advanced as you want. Make a few runs with a simple recipe keeping the process simple. Once you are comfortable with the process, I highly recommend looking into more advanced techniques and you can greatly improve your cider.
