Very Little Hop Bitterness - How to Fix?

I just put a cream ale in the car boy to ferment. When tasting my gravity sample I noticed there was no hop bitterness or aroma. This is my third time doing this recipe, and always had bitter and flavor before. I think the root cause of my issue in this case was my hop bags were a bit too tight and the hops weren’t able to move freely enough during the boil. Lesson learned.

Now I have a batch of beer that desperately needs hop aroma and bitterness. I am planning on dry hopping to get the aroma. My dilemma is how to get bitterness. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks!
Matt

Cocktail bitters? Or just leave it an see how it ends up

You could make a small volume hop tea with a very low gravity wort, to maximize isomerization, and add to the fermentor. I have heard of it. I have never tried it though.

You could boil some of the hops in a small amount of low gravity wort then add that and let it ferment out.
Over bittering would be my concern.
Or just dry hop and let it ride.

Flars just beat me to it.
