I have like 10 ounces of magnums from 2011 harvest. are they any good for late additions in anything. I love them to bitter lots of styles but i generally only need .5 to an ounce to get the ibus needed. so it could take another 10-12 batches bittered with magnum to use them up at this rate. Any other good uses for these hops. I vacuum seal them and store in freezer after each use so they could last that long, but im ready to stock up on 2012 hops.
If you’re saving them for bittering, there’s no reason these can’t last for a few years if they’re vacuum-sealed and in the freezer.
I stretched a pound of Magnum out over about 3 years, sealed in the deep freezer. I don’t think they lost much bitterness at all. Go for it!
