Those new NB brewing tv episodes have been terrific

What happened there?

The merger with Midwest happened. They’ve been to focused getting under one warehouse and straightening out orders on both sides to work on anything else. That and no one person to steer the ship that is BTV. I feel bad for the boys and girls asked to replace Dawson, Keeler and Chip. They got big boots to fill and they are going to get blasted the first few episodes, if they ever happen.

Yeah so now there are two places with bad shipping prices and still no videos.

hooray.

The merger definitely makes me not feel so bad about shopping around. I was loyal to Midwest, but I don’t feel like it matters so much anymore. Sad. Oh well. I still like to order from somewhere in the Midwest to save on shipping and carbon footprint…

I miss the old Brewing TV episodes. I still go back and watch the old ones occasionally.

I’m sure we all miss Brewing TV with Keeler and Dawson. They had a good run and got out before things became repetitive and boring. Wish more TV programming took this route.

Chip has a new vlog he started up called Chop and Brew: http://chopandbrew.com/

It’s pretty much in the same vein as BTV, it’s been pretty good so far.

I also follow Dawson’s blog. It’s pretty good as well.

I read and watch both. Keeler has a blog too, but not a whole lot about brewing.

Wow! Somehow I missed the news about NB and Midwest merging. When did that happen?

I doubt that has anything to do with BTV disappearing, though. It has more to do with Keeler, Dawson and Chip leaving.

yup. heard from a very reputable source (twin cities commercial brewer) that both NB and Midwest were bought out by an investment company. i’m assuming that the investment company has a portfolio bigger than just homebrew shops. anybody know more? i know this probably deserves its own thread…
