Tall boy kettle

I am considering getting a tall boy 10 gallon kettle. I cant seem to determine if it has volume graduations inside like the Megapot does. I have the 8 gallon Megapot and I would like to go a bit bigger. The Tallboys look good as far as quality. Anyone have a Tall boy and can answer my question? If it does not have graduations, has that been a drawback in your opinion?

It does not. I made my own with a tape measure and a sharpie…I wish it would have a few brews ago…ended up with too much wort.

WOW! That seems like a project to do with the kids. Etching metal! I gotta try that. Im going to home depot this morning to get a piece of test metal!

Thanks for posting that…
Definitely something cheap to try.

I recently got the Tall Boy 10gal and am pleased. Sturdy construction, and it holds a lot of wort! The volume markings would be nice, but that etching tutorial is wicked cool!

I got the 8 gal tall boy with the dark star burner. I wish I would have asked if there was any discount to upgrade to the 10gal.

8 gal works well for BIAB and just fits a full extract boil, but the 10 gal just seems more versatile.

That being said the 8 is a great quality kettle.

There is also this 10gal out there. I have no idea on the quality though.
