I recently put in an order thru Hops Direct and since they are out of quite a few hops i ordered a LB of these. I have used Galena for bittering but i have not used it, that i can remember, as a aroma hop. I’m curious. Have any of you used this Super Galena in the last 20 min of the boil? Results? Recipes? 12%aa
I’ve used them in a few brews for late additions. I’m not sure they would stand up on their own but I sure liked them with a few “C” hops along side. Cheers!!!
I’ll let you know in about a month. I bought a pound too just for its amped percentage and uniqueness. On Sunday I made a 70IBU IPA using SG and Crystal. I infused SG at 60, 30, 15 and 0 minutes. The smell from the kettle was pleasing. Hoping for a nice bitter laced with great aroma.
