Storing recycled yeast

I recently washed yeast for the first time. I currently have four quart sized mason jars about 3/4 full of yeast and boiled/cooled water. The other 1/4 of the jar is empty air space. Is this bad? Should I be concerned? Should I add more boiled/cooled water to fill the jar as much as possible? I’d appreciate your thoughts/suggestions.

Thanks.

The air space in the jar is not an issue…I’ve been repitching yeasts for years and have never topped up the jars or flasks I use to store the yeast. It isn’t necessary.
