Is it a bad idea to store uncrushed malt in the large bags it comes in? We’ve been buying 55lb sacks lately, and they inevitably sit around in a garage.
I store mine in the bags they come in, in my kitchen. I would think a garage would be too moist at certain times for that to be good. Can you get them into a more environmentally controlled location?
Probably. I’m thinking a few $8 rubbermaid bins might be a good investment. Until then, basement it is.
Good idea. I have rubbermaid bins for my specialty grains and base malts when they’re not full sacks.
