Starter for an IPA

I am making an IPA with a O.G. of around 1.070 on thursday and I am was following Palmers advice and made a 500ml starter. I now see that this may not be sufficient. I am going to make up another 1500ml of wort and add it to my growler. I made the initial batch two hours ago. I am using White labs california ale yeast.

Will my yeast be ok? This is my first go at a starter.

Should be fine so long as you cool the wort to 65F before adding it to the starter.

Check out Mr. Malty for everything about yeast starters.
