So I’m planning on brewing a CAP this weekend and when preparing my 4L starter last night, I found I only had enough DME for a 3L starter. I prepared a 3L anyway but I have a couple of ideas to get to 4L:
1-Prepare another 1L worth of starter wort tonight and add directly to the already rocking 3L starter.
2-Prepare a 1L starter and pour off some of the 3L starter into it and ferment separately, pitching both starters on brew day.
The end result may be the same (more yeast) but not sure. Thoughts?
