recently noticed my container’s cap broke, and now the (concentrated) Star San is exposed to air. Will this render the Star San ineffective??

This always happens to mine, I guess over tightening. Never seen a problem.
Five Star will send you a new cap if you contact them. There were manufacturing problems with certain batches. I covered the bottle opening with duct tape and used the rim of the cap to finish the seal. Soda bottle caps will fit some of the Starsan concentrate bottles.
