Split a 1.042 cake into 2 new beers?

I did a simple cream ale, not much junk in the fermenter, could i just split this cake and do two beers on top, both around 1.060-1.065? or would i be over pitching. It’s S-05.

Doubtful you would notice an issue if this is overpitching.

The typical wisdom is that one yeastcake will be enough for 3 batches like the one they came from. I think that since your next beer is bigger, splitting it in half would be darn near perfect.
