Brewing Smashing Pumpkin Ale. Using canned pumpkin and 6-row malts in addition to brew kit. After the initial pumpkin and 6-row malts, should I also steep the included Nightshade specialty grains included in the brew kit? The video says to add the malts, hops, and spices as outlined in the recipe, but didn’t mention the specialty grains.
Sounds like you performed a mini mash? If so you can steep the cracked specialty grains in the wort like regular extract.
