Slurry vs dry

Friday is a brew day, so do you use the ale to start and possibly switch to a lager yeast to finish? Hops, well, I’m still in the grapefruit camp, mosaic just turns my palate. I’ve got my lager slurry, wondering… Sneezles61

I haven’t tried blending lager and ale yeasts but you have me thinking. I pitched the slurry from the dry batch to a ryePA last evening. I pitched it a 60 and just left it in the basement at 62 ambient while I’m gone. It was chugging this morning so no worries. If it gets colder down there I’m thinking blend. The lager yeast will start it in the fifties then the ale would kick in from the warmth of fermentation. What ya think?

Wouldn’t it just seem possible? I see that yeasts are blended, so why not ale and lager. Sneezles61
