Packs of this just hit the shelves yesterday here in one of New England’s “Best Beer Cities”.
All-in-all, maybe a bit more bitter and dry than I remember. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just my tastes changing over time. I still don’t get the smoke malt that they mention, but I’m sure it adds complexity. It definitely still has the characteristic flavor which I’ve loved since its first release in 2010. I went though my six pack in two days, will need to get a 12 pack next time.
Better than Summer Fest, tied with Celebration, and only slightly above Ruthless Rye as my favorite SN Seasonals.
