Should I do a decoction for this Dusseldorf Alt?

Anyone think a decoction is necessary?

Dusseldorf Altbier 10 gallons
13 lbs 12.0 oz Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 83.8 %
1 lbs 8.0 oz Munich Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) Grain 2 9.1 %
12.0 oz Caramunich Malt (56.0 SRM) Grain 3 4.6 %
6.4 oz Carafa I (337.0 SRM) Grain 4 2.4 %
35.00 g Magnum [11.90 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 26.6 IBUs
18.00 g Spalter [4.50 %] - Boil 20.0 min Hop 6 3.1 IBUs
3 liter starter Dusseldorf Alt Yeast (White Labs #WLP036)

IMO, unnecessary. I’d also lose or greatly reduce the CaraMunich.

I’m mashing at 148. Should I still dump the caramunich?

Up to you, but I do my D alts at 148 and have decided that I don’t want the CaraMunich in them. If you decide you want to keep it in, I’d recommend no more than 4 oz.

Or maybe 2 oz.
