Shoal Pale Ale dry hopped?

Hello All, I am new to your forum. I’m sure it will really help my brewing experience.

Can anyone tell me if the Smuttynose Shoal Pale ale is dry-hopped, if so, would you know the hop used? Thanks

Paulbrewer03

I don’t know for sure one way or the other, but if I were attempting to clone it I probably would not dry hop it. I’ve had it several times and I don’t recall it having much hop aroma. I believe they use Cascades so if you were going to dry hop that seems like a logical choice.

Since it’s a pretty slow day here at work I figured I’d get a more qualified opinion on the matter, here is some info from their website hope that helps…

Malt Bill
North American 2-Row, Carastan, C-60, Carahell, Carafa II DH

Hops
Bittering: Cascade and Galena
Flavoring: Cascade

Starting Extract 12.5° Plato
Terminal Extract 2.15° Plato

ABV 5.6%

IBU 52

Thanks for your quick reply Master Brewer…I believe you are correct being not dry-hopped. I also checked their website…also checked all over for the recipe clone but no luck…I’ll get my malt bill and hops ordered, thanks again. If you hear info otherwise, appreciate your reply…

Cheers…Paulbrewer03
