Secondary aeration

Would it be any help , maybe a detriment or it doesn’t really matter if you aerate your beer during transfer to a secondary fermenter , in my case from a carboy to a keg with 5 gallons

You don’t want to aerate when transfering. In fact, my understanding is that you want to avoid any splashing when siphoning into your secondary/keg. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong…

Aeration is not wanted.

Oxidizing beer can lead to a cardboard taste and smell.
