Hello All,
I have my wine sitting in the second ferment. The directions stated to bottle after 7-10 days. If I decide to let it sit in the carboy instead, do I need a cap instead of an airlock for the top container?

Use the airlock. Temp changes can affect the wine volume, and a solid cap could blow out.
Yep, use an airlock and don’t let it go dry.
It depends where you deposit it. If there is a cellar where the temperature is constant, then you have nothing to worry about. But since you already have an airlock, why do you bother? Let it as it is.
